Yom Hashoah
Sonoma County Yom Hashoah Commemoration is an annual event that centers around a solemn promise from the past, to the future. To the future, we honor and pass forward Jewish values from generation to generation. This is known as L'Dor V'Dor.

APRIL 19th, 2026
This year's theme "Between Silence and Story" will honor the children of survivors, and their journeys.
This is a very special event and we're honored you'd like to join us.
This year’s theme will center on the impact of the Shoah on children of survivors, who are now tasked with carrying on the legacy and experiences of their parents. Three of those second-generation survivors will discuss how those experiences have shaped their lives.
There will be musical performances, as well as candle lighting by Jewish survivors, lighters for the Roma, LGBTQ, Disabled, Righteous Among the Nations, and Political Prisoners, and those targeted by genocide.
This program is free and open to the public.
Attendees must register ahead of time.

Please note that security measures are a top priority for this event, and have been increased since last year's commemoration. All attendees need to register ahead of time: by April 15, 2026
Once registered and closer to the event, you can expect all event details to be emailed or communicated via the information used at time of registration. This will include all venue details including address, parking and accessibility.
