Find out much more than you want to know when Shomrei Torah celebrates Purim Oz-style. Join fellow members and a cast of dozens when the annual Purim Shpiel returns to Shomrei Torah on February 23 at 6:15 PM in the sanctuary. Come in costume. Hamentashen provided. Silliness guaranteed. It's that time again - hamentaschen, costumes, megillah reading and even a bisl shnapps. Join us for the fun of our wildest holiday! There will be dramatics from our young people and a shpiel from our special guest, Rabbi Jane Litman. This is a joint celebration with our friends from B'nai Israel Jewish Center. (Parents note: this event serves also in lieu of Sunday's classes for our J School students.)
In the spirit of matanot l'evyonim (giving gifts to the needy on Purim), please bring a box of pasta or other noisy food item to use as your grogger during the megillah reading. We will collect them afterwards to donate to the Food Pantry.

Purim is just around the corner and you don’t want you to miss this year’s celebration! The theme is Shtetel so come dressed up as Tevye, his daughters or anyone else that you’d like to bring to the Shtetel.
With Candle Making, Live Music, Traditional Delicacies, an Exotic Animal Show, Hay Jumping and much more, this event will certainly be fun for all ages and one for the ages!

Co-sponsored with Sonoma area congregations, a Purim Party for 2-8 year olds and their families will take place on Sunday, February 24 at 1 p.m. in Congregation Beth Ami's Social Hall and courtyard. Carnival games with prizes, arts and crafts, and a food ticket are included for the $5 entry fee for each child. Facepainting, additional food and drink tickets, and a cupcake walk can be purchased as well. Costumes for all ages are encouraged. For more information call the CBA office at 707-360-3000.
