Find out much more than you want to know when Shomrei Torah celebrates Purim Oz-style. Join fellow members and a cast of dozens when the annual Purim Shpiel returns to Shomrei Torah on February 23 at 6:15 PM in the sanctuary. Come in costume. Hamentashen provided. Silliness guaranteed. All are welcome. No charge

It's that time again - hamentaschen, costumes, megillah reading and even a bisl shnapps. Join us for the fun of our wildest holiday! There will be dramatics from our young people and a shpiel from our special guest, Rabbi Jane Litman. This is a joint celebration with our friends from B'nai Israel Jewish Center. (Parents note: this event serves also in lieu of Sunday's classes for our J School students.)

In the spirit of matanot l'evyonim (giving gifts to the needy on Purim), please bring a box of pasta or other noisy food item to use as your grogger during the megillah reading. We will collect them afterwards to donate to the Food Pantry.

Chabad of Sonoma County Purim in the Shtetel, Sunday, Feb. 24 at 5 pm

What do a Fennec Fox, a Live Band, a Baby African Serval, a Hedgehog, Shtetel Costume, an Alligator, Bubby’s Delicious Chicken, an Ocelot, a Lemur, a Genet and you have in common?Purim in the Shtetel!

Purim is just around the corner and you don’t want you to miss this year’s celebration! The theme is Shtetel so come dressed up as Tevye, his daughters or anyone else that you’d like to bring to the Shtetel.

With Candle Making, Live Music, Traditional Delicacies, an Exotic Animal Show, Hay Jumping and much more, this event will certainly be fun for all ages and one for the ages!

5:45 - Seudah Shlishit (The Third Meal): a potluck with simple foods

7:00 - Reading of the Megillah (Asher Nathan) with costume parade

Sunday, Feb 24

8:00 AM - Service with reading of the Megillah (Ahuva Simon Sa'ar) --this is the correct time

1-4pm  Purim Party for families with children ages 2-8: for the entire community

Co-sponsored with Sonoma area congregations, a Purim Party for 2-8 year olds and their families will take place on Sunday, February 24 at 1 p.m. in Congregation Beth Ami's Social Hall and courtyard.  Carnival games with prizes, arts and crafts, and a food ticket are included for the $5 entry fee for each child. Facepainting, additional food and drink tickets, and a cupcake walk can be purchased as well.  Costumes for all ages are encouraged.  For more information call the CBA office at 707-360-3000.

Join us following the performance to party with the spielers; continue the fun with music by the Megillah Band, dancing, wine, refreshments, Beth Ami-madehamentashen, and more.

2:00 pm - Purimspiel  and hamentashen $6/person. Following the performance you shouldn’t leave hungry: have some Beth Ami-made hamentashen, tea, coffee and juice.Get tickets at the office or at the door.
