The 16th annual Sonoma County Jewish Film Festival runs from October 18 through December 13, 2011. These choice films from Israel, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, France, Canada, Czech Republic, Poland and the United States will be shown at Rialto Cinemas @ 6th Street Playhouse in Historic Railroad Square in Santa Rosa.

100 Voices: A Journey Home
Wednesday, November 2, at 7:15 p.m.
This beautifully made film recounts the journey of 72 cantors who travel to Poland in 2009 to sing in Warsaw and at the Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow. The story of their journey is entwined with the fascinating history of Cantorial singing in Europe, personal family memories and the resurgence of interest in Jewish culture among non-Jewish Poles. Cantor Nate Lam, the organizer of the tour, will speak and giveus a short performance with accompanist. Documentary, USA, 91 minutes, English.
