Recognized as one of the finest remaining country estates of the early 20th century, Filoli is a remarkable 654–acre property, including the 36,000 square foot Georgian country house and spectacular 16–acre English Renaissance garden. Filoli is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is dedicated to the preservation, interpretation and stewardship of the cultural traditions and natural history of this country estate for public education and enjoyment.

We will begin with a Guided Tour of the Filoli Gardens and Historic House. Exquisitely beautiful, ever-changing – The Gardens of Filoli offer the chance to learn about the estate’s renowned horticulture practices. The Historic House, designed by Willis Polk and noted for its elegant interiors, is an interpretive museum exhibit for an extensive collection of 17th and 18th century English antiques. You may participate in this tour as much or as little as you like –wander at your own pace or simply sit and appreciate the peaceful and beautiful garden setting.

After the tour, we will gather for High Tea (includes lunch): Enjoy delicious sandwiches, seasonal salads, scones with fresh lemon curd and pastries presented on linen tablecloths. Tea is served in a beautiful collection of china teacups, donated through the years by Filoli members and volunteers. The menu will include an assorted tea sandwiches, mini-pastries and other seasonal delectables.

Cost: Members $60.00 per person; Non-members $70.00 per person (includes transportation, tour(s), lunch, tax, tolls and snacks along the way).

Cancellations result in a $5.00 administration fee. A full refund (less the $5.00) will be given if the cancellation is made by June 11, 2014.
